The Sky Pencil Holly (Ilex crenata 'Sky Pencil') is a broad leaf evergreen that has dense dark green foliage; a vertical growth habit. Four petaled white flowers which bloom in late spring (May-June), and then black rounded fruits mature in fall on pollinated female plants. Sky Pencil evergreen will tolerate pollution, makes a good addition to an urban landscape.
Uses: hedge, specimen, privacy screen, container, entry way accent. Space 3-5' when planting.
Prefers full sun to part shade; easily grown in average, medium moisture well-drained soils. Fertilize in spring with slow-release granular fertilizer.
